HESSTON, Kan. — The Hesston College women’s flag football team fell 50–0 to Baker University on Wednesday evening.

Baker took control early, scoring on its opening possession and capitalizing on strong field position throughout the first half. The Wildcats added multiple scores in both the first and second quarters to build a 42–0 lead at halftime.

The Larks moved the ball through the air behind Alexis Pabon, who completed 32 of 46 passes for 216 yards. Akiva Brown led all receivers with eight catches for 81 yards, while Tianna McPherson added nine receptions for 41 yards and Liliana Espinoza contributed six catches for 48 yards.

Despite the passing production, Hesston struggled to establish a ground game and faced consistent pressure, as Baker recorded nine sacks and held the Larks to negative rushing yards.

Defensively, the Larks were led by Emma PfannenstielLauren Payne and Tianna McPherson, who each recorded four flag pulls. McPherson also added an interception as Hesston worked to slow a balanced Baker offense.

Baker added one more touchdown in the fourth quarter to extend the lead, and the Larks were unable to break through for a score before the final whistle.

Hesston will return to action Saturday, March 21, when the Larks travel to Fulton, Mo., to face William Woods University.
