Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. – The Central Christian College of Kansas Men’s Basketball team was back in action this weekend as they traveled to Oklahoma City to face the Stars in a SAC matchup. The Tigers looked to even the season series after losing at home to the Stars in double overtime.

The first half was filled with intensity and lots of scoring as OCU headed into halftime ahead by 3, 43-40. Coming out of halftime, the Tigers tied it up after two quick buckets. The stars would proceed to go on a 20-9 run and gain an 11 point lead by the midway point in the second half.

Despite Chris Whitten having 19 points and leading the Tigers, Central would fall to the Stars 81-63. Rebounding seemed to be the killer for the Tigers as the Stars out-rebounded the Tigers 44-23. Offensive rebounding that led to second chance points also hindered the Tigers in their ability to create opportunities.

The Tigers move to 9-12 (4-11 SAC) on the season, and now they will travel to the University of Science and Arts Oklahoma to face the Drovers in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Tip-off is set for 7:45pm and the game can be seen on the Urban Edge Network.
