Oklahoma City, Okla. – The Tigers traveled down to Oklahoma City to take on the Stars in another SAC matchup this weekend. The Tigers looked to take this one from the Stars after falling to them at home back in January.

The Tigers came out strong, shooting 41% from the field and getting to the free throw line. The Tigers took a 20-16 lead into the second quarter. The Stars showed grit and fought back in the second quarter, taking advantage of poor Tiger shooting as they went just 2-15 from the field in the second quarter. Heading into halftime, the Stars were ahead 33-31.

In the third quarter, both teams struggled to shoot the ball as there were 17 total points in the quarter, 10 for OCU and 7 for Central. The Stars took a five point lead into the final quarter where the Tigers were resilient and even outscored the Stars in the fourth quarter but fell 61-58.

The Tigers were led offensively by Charmayne Marshall who scored 18 points and had 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Kylee Jones also reached double figures with 10 points, going 3-6 from beyond the arc. Cristina Laudan remained tough on the glass as she tallied 9 rebound and chipped in 8 points.

The Tigers (6-15, 2-13 SAC), turn their attention to Science and Arts Oklahoma as they travel to Chickasha, Oklahoma on February 5th. Tip is set for 6:00pm and the game can be seen on the Urban Edge Network.
