Sterling, Kan. – The Bethany College volleyball team delivered one of its most complete performances of the season Wednesday night, sweeping Sterling College 3–0 (25–23, 25–19, 25–21) inside the Gleason Center.

The Swedes were firing on all cylinders, combining efficient offense, stifling defense, and contagious energy to earn their third straight KCAC victory. From the opening serve, Bethany dictated the tempo and showcased a level of confidence and cohesion that reflected a team finding its peak form at just the right time.

Sophomore setter Ashlynn Gehring was the driving force once again, recording 12 kills, 17 assists, and 10 digs for yet another triple-double performance, making it her 8th of the season. Alivia Cheatham continued her late-season surge with 11 kills and 14 digs, while Blanca Ariciniega Palma added eight kills and hit a blistering .320 from the floor.

Bethany’s defense was just as dominant. Michelle Acevedo Ortiz was relentless in the back row, posting an incredible 29 digs, while Antonette Carochi controlled the net with seven total blocks. Montana Poe added key touches at the net that helped neutralize Sterling’s attack.

The Swedes hit .187 as a team while holding the Warriors to just .081, showing efficiency and discipline in every phase. Each set showcased Bethany’s maturity — capitalizing on momentum swings, finishing long rallies, and executing with precision when it mattered most. With back-to-back-to back conference wins and an undeniable surge of confidence, Bethany is playing its best volleyball of the season, proving they can compete with and outlast anyone in the KCAC. The Swedes continue to close the season with power, poise, and purpose.
