Hays, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes Softball team took a trip to Hays, Kan. to take on the Fort Hays State University Tigers in a mid-week doubleheader.
GAME 1: SWEDES 0, TIGERS 8
The Swedes had trouble keeping up with the Tigers as Bethany would only muster four hits in the contest. Alex Udy hit a double in the fourth inning.
Dylann Baker drew the start going 3.0 innings. The combination of Nadyelle Bones, Jordyn Stelzig, and Amia Alexander-Sims combined for the final 2.1 innings.
GAME 2: SWEDES 0, TIGERS 8
Game Two was much of the same as the Swedes would only tally three hits totalling seven hits on the day between both contests. Kalee Aguilar had a double in the third inning.
MacKenzie Yoder got the start in the circle lasting 2.0 innings. The combination of Paris Hammer, Ayianna Revels, and Amia Alexander-Sims combined for the final 3.1 innings.

Due to projected weather this weekend, Friday, March 6, games in the Friends University Invite have been cancelled. The Swedes are now set to play Midland University on Saturday, March 7, at 10:00 AM followed by Waldorf University at 12:15 PM.
