Newton, Kan. – The Bethany College Golf teams to a trip down to Newton, Kan. to host their home tournament of the spring at Sandcreek Station Golf Course. The men’s team would bring two teams as the women entered just one.
On the women’s side, as a team, the Swedes finished sixth being led by Annabelle Vanaman and Audrey Allen who finished tied for 31st. Lilyan Walden would finish on their heels at 33 while Ekko Hopkins placed 35th. Overall, it was a good preview for the KCAC Spring Golf Championships in a couple of weeks.
As for the men, The “A-Team” finished in eighth place. Leading that team was Luke Tate finishing 19th in the individual standings with a total of +13. His low round of the tournament was a 71 (-1) on the first day of play. Will Briggs and Mads Hasenschwandtner finished tied for 43rd at +25. Beckhan Sanguras placed 48th with his best round on the last round where he shot a 74 (+2).
The “B-Team” was led by Dylen Slusser who finished the tournament in 34th place. Ollie Christopher, Nate Nyquist, and Taylor Hardin would round out the scores for the “B-Team” who finished 13th.

The Swedes are approaching the conference championships soon, but first, the women will compete in the Conquistador Classic in Dodge City, Kan. on April 13 and 14. Mariah Hills Golf Course is the set course for the event.
