Sterling, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes competed on the road Tuesday afternoon but fell 11–5 despite several solid individual efforts and late offensive production.
Bethany showed resilience late in the game, scoring three runs over the final two innings to keep fighting until the end. William Sanchez led the offensive push, driving in two RBIs on a key hit, while Jack Crain delivered a clutch pinch-hit performance with a two-RBI single to bring the Swedes closer late in the contest.
Giovanny Orozco provided a strong performance at the plate, going 2-for-3, while Stephen Kent added a hit and scored a run. Jose Morales showed patience at the plate, drawing three walks and helping create opportunities for the offense.
On the mound, Bethany saw solid outings from Daikys Vargas and Jesus Rujano, who combined for four scoreless innings while striking out six and helping keep the game within reach through the middle innings.
Despite the result, the Swedes continued to compete and showed fight throughout the game, particularly with their late-inning offensive push.

Bethany stays on the road and will travel to Hillsboro, Kansas, to face Tabor College on April 3, looking to bounce back in conference play.
