Lindsborg, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes Women’s Soccer team hosted the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes on Wednesday evening at the Coach Ted Kessinger Family Stadium, falling 5–0 in a competitive KCAC matchup.

The game started with intensity from both sides, but the Coyotes were able to find the net early, scoring twice in quick succession(13th and 18th minute) — both goals coming from plays that appeared to be offside. Kansas Wesleyan later added a third goal before halftime to take a 3–0 lead into the break.

In the second half, the Coyotes scored again within the first minute of play, extending their advantage. However, the Swedes adjusted well afterward, showing better defensive structure and limiting the visitors’ chances for much of the half. In the final minutes, Kansas Wesleyan found a fifth goal to close out the match.

Despite the result, it was a strong effort from Bethany, who continued to battle and created a few long-range opportunities late in the game.
