McPherson, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes Women’s Soccer team faced McPherson College on the road Wednesday evening, October 1, in their fourth KCAC conference match of the season. Despite the final scoreline, the Swedes showed strong effort and determination, especially in the opening stages of the game.

Bethany started the match organized and focused, defending well and working collectively to find opportunities going forward. During the first 30 minutes, the Swedes competed evenly with the Bulldogs and maintained a solid defensive structure. However, in the 34th minute, McPherson broke the deadlock with a long-range strike from about 20 yards out, giving the home side a 1–0 lead.

The second half proved more difficult for Bethany as McPherson increased the pressure and capitalized on several opportunities. The Bulldogs scored five additional goals after the break to secure a 6–0 win. Despite the result, the Swedes continued to battle until the final whistle, showing resilience and commitment even in challenging moments.
