Lindsborg, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes Men’s Basketball team took a trip down to Winfield, Kan. to take on the Southwestern College Moundbuilders in what was both teams final conference game of the calendar year.

With only seven players touching the court for the Swedes, they would show resilience and balance throughout the contest as all seven found the scoring column by converting at least one field goal. The Swedes would stay in striking distance early, but an early second-half run set the tone for the rest of the contest as the Swedes would fall 60-75.

Curtis Stovall III would lead the scoring charge for the Swedes off the bench with 17 points knocking down five three-pointers. Keddric Mays II followed with 14 points while David Mitchell tacked on 10. Jordan Reams dished out eight assists while Milton Kpehe secured eight rebounds.

The rebound differential between both teams played a huge part is the loss as the Builders doubled up the Swedes in rebounds 43-21. The Swedes would force 11 turnovers, but could not covert any of the opportunities into points.
