The Bethany College Swedes fell on the road Saturday night, dropping a 74–52 contest at AGFinancial Arena. After a challenging first half, the Swedes showed resilience in the final 20 minutes, nearly doubling their first-half scoring output and competing with renewed energy.
Keddric Mays II led Bethany with 15 points, attacking the rim and converting 5-of-7 from the free-throw line while adding four rebounds and three steals. Curtis Stovall III contributed 11 points, knocking down two three-pointers and providing steady effort on both ends of the floor. Jordan Reams added eight points and four assists, helping facilitate the offense and applying defensive pressure with three steals.
Bethany shot just 17.4 percent in the opening half but responded by shooting 51.9 percent in the second half, showing improved ball movement and shot selection. The Swedes also went 14-of-19 from the free-throw line (73.7 percent) and finished with 13 fast-break points in the contest.
While the early deficit proved difficult to overcome, the Swedes’ second-half performance demonstrated their ability to adjust and continue fighting through adversity.
