Hillsboro, Kan – Following their weekend trip to Oklahoma, the Bulldogs made the short drive East of campus on Tuesday to take on the Bluejays of Tabor College. In their previous meeting this season, McPherson managed to take a 4-3 victory at TC Construction Field over the Bluejays.

How it Happened
For the first three innings of the ballgame the Bulldogs were lighting up the scoreboard. They would score the first two runs in the first inning highlighted with Marcus Patton’s RBI single up the middle to send home Colt Uphold. They’d later score six more runs in the third inning off of three hits; the run would be led by Will Sevier’s two RBI double and Conner Baker’s two-run home run.
The Bluejays began to chip away at the lead in the bottom half of the inning, but the Bulldogs still held an 8-6 lead heading into the fourth inning.
Then the fourth inning happened.
After a scoreless top half of the fourth, the Bluejays went on to score an astonishing 16 runs on just seven hits. With the game sitting at 22-8, it would be an insurmountable comeback for McPherson. Baker managed to go yard in the top of the sixth for just one more run, but Tabor matched and raised the score with two runs batted in during the bottom half of the sixth.
With a scoreless top half of the seventh inning, the run rule would come into effect to give Tabor College the 24-9 victory.
