Lindsborg, Kan. — The Bethany College Swedes Women’s Soccer team hosted Ottawa University on Saturday evening in KCAC play at the Coach Ted Kessinger Family Stadium.
The Swedes started strong once again, putting together a solid first 20 minutes by pushing their lines higher and creating a few early chances. However, Ottawa found their rhythm midway through the half, scoring three quick goals within four minutes around the 19th-minute mark. The visitors added a fourth just before halftime to extend their lead.
Bethany showed improvement in the second half, maintaining better defensive shape and work rate despite conceding an early goal. Goalkeeper Marie Miera Y Moseley stood out with seven saves, helping limit further damage as the Swedes battled through a challenging opponent. Bethany recorded two total shots in the match.
