Lindsborg, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes women’s soccer team hosted Bethel College on Wednesday evening at Coach Ted Kessinger Family Stadium, falling 2–0 in a match that showed some of the team’s best first-half play of the season.
The Swedes looked organized and disciplined defensively throughout the opening 45 minutes, keeping the match level at 0–0 going into halftime. Although Bethany did not create many clear scoring chances, they showed good teamwork, effort, and intensity on both sides of the ball, making it one of their most complete first halves so far this year.
In the second half, Bethel broke the deadlock in the 64th minute with a powerful strike from over 25 yards out—an unstoppable goal. The Threshers added a second in the 80th minute from a corner kick to seal the result. Despite the loss, Bethany showed strong spirit and collective effort until the final whistle.
Special mention goes to goalkeeper Marie Miera Y Moseley, who made seven key saves and continues to be a standout presence for the Swedes.
