HILLSBORO, Kan. – 2026 brought the thrill of KCAC basketball right out of the gate, as Tabor College Women’s Basketball hosted Kansas Wesleyan in yet another thrilling chapter of the long-running series between the two programs.

- With the win, the Bluejays improve to 7-7 overall and 5-3 in conference play
- Saturday’s matchup marks the 109th all-time meeting between the two programs, dating back to 1972

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Tayton Smith exploded for a career-high 32 points, shooting an impressive 13-16 (81.25%) from the field and hauling in 13 total rebounds (five offensive, eight defensive)
- Lillie Veer was the other Bluejay to finish in double-figures, adding 17 points of her own
- Smith had a monster night on defense in addition to her performance on offense, recording four blocks and four steals
- Adrian Hazelwood, Hailey Contreras, and Kaylee Kauffman flirted with double figures, each finishing with eight points
- Tabor shot 45.9% (28-61) from the field in the thrilling overtime victory
