The Bethany College Swedes delivered a complete performance Saturday afternoon, earning a convincing 78–53 KCAC victory at home. Bethany set the tone early and never looked back, shooting 50.8 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from three-point range while controlling the game on both ends of the floor. The Swedes built separation in every quarter and showcased their depth with strong contributions throughout the lineup.
Colbi Rignell orchestrated the offense with confidence, finishing with 13 points and 13 assists while guiding Bethany’s ball movement and tempo. Hannah Moss added 11 points, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc, and Lilyan Walden contributed 12 points and five rebounds, giving the Swedes steady production inside and out. Halle Jones provided a spark off the bench with 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting, helping Bethany outscore its opponent 32–8 in bench points.
Saturday also marked a historic moment for the program, as Rignell set the Bethany College record for assists in a single game, dishing out 13 assists. Her vision, court awareness, and unselfish play fueled the Swedes’ offense and created scoring opportunities throughout the afternoon, making her performance a defining highlight of the win.
