GODDARD, Kan. – The McPherson Middle School B-Team Girls Basketball team traveled to Goddard Eisenhower for a tournament on Saturday, where they would suffer a one-point loss to Maize South, falling 17-16, before defeating Goddard Eisenhower 25-12.
Against Maize South, Head Coach Heidi Ricke said, “The girls came out and played a hard, intense defensive battle. They came out and battled through foul trouble and never gave up. We saw a huge improvement in their rebounding and are very proud of the game they played.”

In the game with Goddard Eisenhower, Ricke said, “I am so excited for the girls’ and their first win of the season. They controlled the game from the very beginning and never let up their intensity while battling through injuries. These girls’ deserve that victory especially after all the hard work they have put in over the last 3 weeks.”
