The Coyotes put up a tougher fight in the Wednesday matchup at the Bulldog Tennis Center, but the Bulldogs would ultimately fend off Kansas Wesleyan in a large majority of the matches.

At #1 Doubles, Nardy and Wyatt made quick work of their first matchup winning 6-1 over KWU’s #1 Doubles pair. Balazs Temesvari and Spies faced a tough test in the #3 Doubles match but would earn the doubles point for McPherson with a 6-4 victory. Despite the point already being decided, Barrientos and Wasserfuhr put together a hard-nosed 7-5 victory at the #2 Doubles while the entire men’s roster for each squad watched side-by-side from the empty court.

The only dropped match for McPherson would be in the #2 Singles match after Wasserfuhr had to retire in the second set due to injury. All other courts were decided quickly with a combined score of 61-21 in favor of the Bulldogs, giving them the 6-1 victory over the Coyotes.
