Haviland, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes took a trip to Haviland, Kan. to take on the Barclay College Bears in the second of two games between the two in a five-day span.
Just like the last time these two met up, Bethany controlled the tempo of the game. Keddric Mays II poured on 33 points and nine rebounds. Berrian Delinois scored 19 while shooting 50% from three-point range. Donovan Newton dropped 17 points to go along with eight rebounds, six steals, and four assists. Curtis Stovall III recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds to go along with seven assists. Will Martinez rounded off the double-digit scorers with 11 points and a block.
As a team, the Swedes shutdown the Bears’ offense allowing them to only shoot 28.8% from the floor and 13.3% from downtown. Bethany would also score 44 points off 20 turnovers by Barclay.
