The Bethany College Swedes battled until the final buzzer Saturday afternoon but came up just short in an 83–81 KCAC matchup against Oklahoma Wesleyan in Lindsborg. Bethany carried a 44–41 lead into halftime and matched the visitors possession for possession in a tightly contested conference game that was decided in the closing moments.
Jordan Reams led the Swedes with a standout performance, pouring in 22 points while connecting on five three-pointers and shooting a perfect 3-for-3 from the free-throw line. His shooting fueled Bethany’s strong first half and kept the Swedes within striking distance late. Will Martinez added valuable perimeter scoring off the bench with 12 points, knocking down four triples to stretch the floor.
Keddric Mays II contributed 13 points and competed defensively inside, while Daniel Bennett chipped in 11 points and six rebounds, giving Bethany steady production in the paint. Curtis Stovall III rounded out the effort with 10 points, six assists, and five rebounds, providing consistent playmaking and energy throughout the game.
Bethany finished the night shooting 53.8% from beyond the arc, including an outstanding first-half performance that set the tone in conference play. Despite the narrow loss, the Swedes showed strong execution, balance, and resilience against a KCAC opponent.
