NORTH NEWTON, Kan. – Wednesday evening marked the opening of the KCAC Women’s Basketball Tournament, as Tabor took on No. 2 seeded Bethel in the third meeting of the season between the two rivals. Anticipation was high going into the contest, and it certainly lived up to its billing.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Lillie Veer led the way offensively with 12 points
- Landry O’Brien and Tayton Smith also finished in double figures, each finishing with 10 points
- Smith hauled in 14 total rebounds (six offensive, eight defensive)
- O’Brien dished out five assists in the win
- The Bluejays won the rebounding contest, outrebounding Bethel 39-37
- Tabor shot 38.2% (21-55) from the field, 31.3% (5-16) from beyond the arc, and 86.7% (13-15) from the charity stripe
