The Central Christian track & field teams competed at the University of Central Missouri Invite on March 20 in Warrensburg, Missouri, turning in record-breaking marks, and a national qualifying jump.

Leading the way was Camryn Frick, who delivered a standout performance in the women’s triple jump, finishing 3rd overall. Frick broke the school record with a mark of 10.01m (32-11.5) while also hitting the NCCAA National Qualifying Standard. Her performance not only set the program record but also was the top jump in the Sooner and NCCAA over the weekend.

On the track, Philip Soclo added to the historic day by breaking the school record in the men’s 1500 meters, clocking 4:29.87 in a competitive field.

The Tigers competed well against a field made up of NCAA Division II, NAIA, and NJCAA programs. Several athletes recorded personal bests, gaining valuable experience in a high-level meet environment.

With two school records already falling and a national qualifying mark secured, Central Christian is building early-season momentum. The team will look to carry that progress forward this Friday at the Emporia State Open.
