WHITE CITY, Kan. – The Elyria Christian Volleyball team took on Rural Vista and Wakefield in a triangular on Tuesday, as the Eagles would earn a split, opening with a three-set loss to Rural Vista, 18-25, 25-22, 19-25. ECS would bounce back to defeat Wakefield 25-9, 26-25.
Ryland Hawkinson led the Eagles, adding 25 kills to her resume on the season, to go along with 7 blocks and 14 digs. Macy Reiff was also a key contributor with 18 digs on the night.
The JV would split with Rural Vista, winning 31-29 in Set 1, before falling in Set 2, 25-18.
Natalie Jader had 4 aces and 12 assists, Brooke Davidson had 8 kills, and Sarah Dumitrescu had 3 digs.
The ECS Volleyball team will return to action on Friday, as they’ll travel to Burrton for a tournament. Matches are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
