Salina, Kan – To complete the season-long series, McPherson trailed to Dean Evans Stadium for a matchup with Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes under the lights. In both previous matchups with KWU, the Coyotes managed 13 runs and limited the Bulldogs to nine combined runs.

How it Happened
Shaw Lee would throw a complete game for Kansas Wesleyan on Wednesday night, issuing 10 strikeouts and not allowing a single run to be scored by McPherson. The visitors ran through nine pitchers throughout the night; not a single pitcher of the nine would pitch for more than an inning.
The Coyotes got their night started in the first inning with a two-run homer to right center field from Carter Allen for the 2-0 advantage. In the next inning, Zac Goldenberg batted home Joe Finder for an RBI single and the 3-0 lead.
From the second to the fourth inning, the Bulldogs were hitless and were unable to get a runner on the bags. Through five innings played, McPherson found just two hits off of Lee on the mound.
The Coyotes stretched their lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, starting with a two RBI double from Joe Finder. Zac Goldenberg drove Finder home on an RBI double to give Kansas Wesleyan a 6-0 advantage.
The hosts found their last two runs of the ballgame in the bottom of the eighth as they held a 8-0 lead heading into the top half of the ninth. Myles Vazquez and Marcus Patton both singled to get on base for McPherson, but Lee struck out the next two batters and secured their 8-0 victory at home.
