Bulldogs Break Multiple Personal Bests in Friends Spring Open

Wichita, Kan – Over the weekend, the Bulldogs competed in their third outdoor meet of the year. There would be multiple personal-best times broken for the Bulldogs in the Friends Spring Open.

Women’s Events
There were four personal records set this week in the women’s events for the Bulldogs. In the throws, Kara Alexander’s Discus throw of 35.40m placed her 13th in the field. In the Long Jump, Chloe Guzman flew a distance of 4.48m.

Nina Zimmermann finished with a time of 28.97 in the 200m event. In the 5k, Johanna Walker placed 6th in the field with a time of 21:38.57.

Men’s Events
Lamar Gordon had an eventful day in Wichita in the Hammer Throw and the Discus events. Gordon’s Hammer Throw traveled 55.65m, putting him in 2nd place for his B Standard throw. His Discus throw traveled 50.25m which was also a B standard throw. Jacob Saul placed 12th in the Discus event with a throw of 39.76m (PR).

On the track, Eric Brown ran a personal-best 400m with a time of 53.42. Matt Williams competed in both the 200m and the Long Jump. He finished with a 22.72 (PR) in the 200m and jumped a distance of 6.30, good enough for 9th.

Brian Fackert ran a time of 50.43 in the 400m (PR) followed by a 1:55.93 in the 800m (PR), good enough for 7th place. Dylan Tingler’s 5k time of 18:15.38 would be his personal-best time.
