HILLSBORO, Kan. – Tabor Football returned home on Saturday afternoon to take on a solid No. 8 Friends team. The Bluejays entered the day hoping to bounce back from last week’s loss to McPherson, while the Falcons aimed to move to 4-0 on the season.

  • With the loss, Tabor falls to 1-3 on the season
  • Saturday’s contest marked the 59th meeting between the two programs, with the series dating back to Tabor’s first season of football in 1967
  • Friends now holds a 42-17 advantage over the Bluejays all-time

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

  • Jerome Stewart added another touchdown to his season stats, throwing for 63 total yards and connecting on 13 of 20 pass attempts
  • Tarent Moniz-Babb made his debut under center, throwing for one touchdown and 57 total yards, completing five of eight pass attempts
  • Tyson Dozhier had himself a day, serving as the leading receiver, recording 69 yard and one touchdown on seven receptions
  • Holden Kee hauled in a massive touchdown, ending his day with 26 total yards on two receptions
  • Darriene Gibbs and Sterling Gartin made their presence felt on defense with one forced fumble apiece
  • Gartin, Dusty Daigle, and Zach Sandoval each recorded a tackle-for-loss (TFL)
  • Daigle led the way on defense with nine total tackles
