HILLSBORO, Kan. – Bluejay Baseball opened up their 2026 home slate on Wednesday afternoon as the team hosted Highway 56 rival Central Christian in a single 9-Inning game. With beautiful skies and very little wind, it proved to be a fantastic afternoon for baseball, and the Bluejays took full advantage of that.

- With the win, Tabor improves to 4-7 on the season
- Wednesday’s game marked the 58th all-time meeting between the two programs, dating back to 1961
- Tabor currently holds a 43-15 lead in the all-time series
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Three Bluejays found the other side of the fence, recording their first homers at Bluejay Baseball Field of the 2026 campaign (Easton Norris, Danny Zepeda, Logan McGuire)
- McGuire had himself a day, leading the team offensively with four RBIs and two hits, while Zepeda also recorded three RBIs and three hits
- McGuire and Cole Schieffer each recorded extra base hits, each hitting a double
- Judah Powell recorded the win on the mound
- Ben Laird led the pitching staff with three strikeouts in the win

- The Bluejays face a quick turnaround as they open up KCAC play at home against Saint Mary on Friday. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00pm.
