  • With the win, the Bluejays improve to 3-3 on the season and open conference play with a 1-0 record
  • Saturday’s contest marks the 57th all-time meeting between the two programs, dating back to 1982
  • Tabor owns a 31-26 record in the series

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

  • Lillie Veer led the Bluejays offensively with 18 points and four rebounds, shooting 63.6% (7-11) from the field
  • Tayton Smith (12) and Anna Lambert (10) also finished in double figures in the win
  • Smith brought in a monster 15 rebounds (four offensive, 11 defensive)

FROM THE COACH

  • “It was a good win over an experienced OKWU team. We are playing a lot of younger players, so it was good to earn a win after a rough two games in Nebraska.”
  • “We play two very good teams next week in Ottawa and Evangel. Both teams present different challenges, and we will need to play well if we hope to compete in those contests.”

NEXT UP

  • Tabor is set to host Ottawa this coming Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 6:00pm.
