The Bethany College Swedes delivered one of their strongest performances of the season Wednesday night, defeating the McPherson Bulldogs 81–69 behind a historic night from Janae Black-Harmon. The standout forward made program history by grabbing an astounding 19 rebounds, the most ever recorded by a Bethany women’s basketball player in a single game. Her dominance inside shaped the flow of the contest and helped fuel a complete team victory.

Black-Harmon was unstoppable in the paint from start to finish, finishing with 22 points, 19 rebounds, six steals, and a block—one of the most well-rounded and impactful stat lines in recent Bethany history. Her presence on the boards gave the Swedes 16 second-chance points and allowed them to control tempo throughout the night. She also shot an efficient 8-for-10 from the field and 6-for-8 at the line, setting the tone for an offense that shot over 43% as a team.

Bethany set the tone early with a 26-point opening quarter and never looked back. Becca Unruh added 19 points and five assists, giving the Swedes a reliable perimeter presence, while Colbi Rignell chipped in nine points, seven rebounds, and four assists. The balanced scoring and strong ball movement helped Bethany build a double-digit lead and maintain control even as McPherson pushed late.

With Black-Harmon’s record-setting performance leading the way, the Swedes earned a statement win and moved to 5–5 on the season and 3–3 in KCAC play.
