Hillsboro, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes earned a hard-fought 57–56 KCAC road victory over Tabor on Wednesday night, showcasing discipline, timely execution, and poise in the closing moments. Bethany set the tone early with a clean first half, committing just two team fouls, which allowed the Swedes to defend aggressively while keeping the game under control.

Trailing at halftime, Bethany came out of the locker room with purpose and momentum, opening the third quarter on a decisive 12–2 run that flipped the game in the Swedes’ favor. That surge was powered by strong interior play and efficient shot-making, helping Bethany build confidence on both ends of the floor.

Janae Black-Harmon led the Swedes with 16 points and 11 rebounds, recording a double-double while anchoring the paint defensively. Hannah Moss added key minutes with eight rebounds, and Lilyan Walden chipped in eight points, including a timely three-pointer. Colbi Rignell delivered an all-around performance with 12 points and steady leadership throughout the night.

With the game on the line in the final seconds, it was Rignell who sealed the victory, calmly stepping to the line and knocking down two clutch free throws to secure the one-point win. Bethany’s composure late proved to be the difference in a tightly contested conference matchup.
