Dodge City, Ks. The Swedes Men’s Golf Team travelled to Dodge City, Ks for their annual Matchplay tournament to conclude their Fall season.
Monday morning of the tournament the Men started with a Stroke play qualifier to determine the seating for the bracket. The Swedes finished in 7th resulting into the Silver bracket for the Matchplay.
The Swedes played their first match against Ottawa University. After Luke Tate and Taylor Hardin secured two points for the Men, it came down to the last match. Unfortunately, for the Swedes Beckham Sanguras lost a close match which could have gone either way, on the first extra hole.
This led to a matchup against Oklahoma Wesleyan University. The Swedes took care of business. Leading the way to a good win by convincing performances from Mads Hasenschwandtner and Will Briggs.
This concludes the Fall season for the Swedes. The Swedes will have some work to do this offseason before bouncing back in the Spring.
