McPHERSON, Kan. — Norm Burgess has been volunteering at The ReUse It Center since 2017. He works in receiving accepting donations 3 times a week.
What the ReUse It Center means to Burgess:
“I think when people come in and tell me that they are on the way to the dump and I am able to accept things that are something that others could use then I have done my job. My wife always tells me that I spend more than I make, I guess that’s what comes with working in Receiving. I really like the guys that I work with.
On Saturday we get guys from Omega that come and help and it’s great to visit with them and see where they come from and what God has done in their lives. I respect all of them for what they have accomplished. It has been a Joy helping people.”
The above picture is Norm on the right and on the left are guys from Omega. These guys look up to Norm and if he is on vacation we often get the “Where’s Norm he’s my favorite guy to work with.”
