McPHERSON, Kan. — We asked one of our board members, Carol Fithian, what she liked most about the ReUse It Center and this was her response. “Ruic is environmentally friendly. It keeps usable items out of landfills and it gives people a place to take things that still have use when they no longer need or want them.
Ruic is community-minded. Customers can shop for items for an inexpensive price and items can still be used or repurposed. Ruic then takes the proceeds from sales and gives this profit to other not-for-profit organizations in the community.
Ruic is a great place to work. It is run mostly by volunteers with the help of three paid managers. These volunteers give freely of their time, energy, and abilities. They will laugh with you, pray with you, encourage you, advise you, and support you. ReUse-It is one of my HAPPY Places. Come join us!”
