McPHERSON, Kan. — The ReUse It Center was able to donate $4,500 for the month of August thanks to shoppers and volunteers.

The following organizations received donations this month:

Oxford House

STEPMC acquired the Mt Hope Sanctuary House and has turned it into an Oxford House, Mitera. This is house is set up to take in women and their children. This donation will go towards the upkeep of the house. Oxford Houses are self-run, self-supported recovery housing. Oxford House has as its primary goal the provision of housing and rehabilitative support for the alcoholic who wants to stop drinking or using and stay sober.

The Omega Project is a multi-faceted, faith-based recovery program that emphasizes heart level changes of men and women. We offer lifestyle change to those whose probable future would have been jail or homelessness. We provide a place to live, teaching and training in lifestyle transformation, work opportunities, and contact with those who have overcome the addictive lifestyle. 

Inman Ministerial Alliance

The Inman Ministerial Alliance brings the local churches of Inman together to serve the spiritual needs of the community of Inman through worship and service. They also operate the Inman Food Pantry to provide food for those in need in their community.
