McPHERSON, Kan. — One person was hospitalized after an early Saturday morning house fire in the 200 block of Mockingbird Lane.
McPherson Fire Chief Chad Mayberry said they were dispatched just after 12:30 a.m., with first arriving units reporting smoke and flames showing from a mobile home. Crews made an interior attack and found one person inside.
After resuscitation efforts were performed the person was taken by EMS to McPherson Hospital and later transferred to Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.
The Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting in the investigation of the cause of that fire, which Chief Mayberry said in a release Monday morning foul play is not suspected.
