McPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson representatives for the McPherson County adult spelling bee were determined Friday night during the city bee at Three Rings Brewery. Dinah Strange defended her city title by spelling prescience and then milquetoast after runner up Kelsey Peterson misspelled prescience.
Alicia Chennell won a spell-off against Cindy Goldsmith to determine the 3rd qualifying spot for the city of McPherson. The County Adult Spelling Bee will be August 23rd at Three Rings. Burger Depot will be on site again and Phil Walters will be providing pre-Bee entertainment.
