McPHERSON COUNTY, Kan. — From the November 5th General Election, 74 percent of McPherson County Registered voters cast ballots, which works out to 14,405 ballots cast.
On Monday, County Commissioners approved the canvass report from that election. County Clerk Hollie Melroy said three township board positions were filled by write-ins and all township positions are filled.
Melroy reported on the three races which by state law it was designated to conduct a post-election audit for, which included locally President, 104th House District and Register of Deeds.
Melroy also noted there were 14 names written in for President, of which two who made the necessary filings in order to be counted per the Kansas Secretary of State.
