McPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson County Planning and Zoning is hosting an informational meeting on battery energy and hydrogen storage facilities, nuclear power, and data centers Thursday afternoon at 1 at The Cedars Conference Center.
Planning, Zoning and Environmental Administrator Jon Kinsey said the purpose of this meeting is “flush this out” and provide a high-level overview of what is currently being looked at by the Board of Planning and zoning appeals, which is taking a look at all four items.
This meeting is open to the public. Kinsey has sent out specific invitations to city clerks in the county and also to representatives of the four townships that surround McPherson.
