McPHERSON, Kan. — The Evaline Hess Healthcare Career Education Fund Scholarship Board has proudly awarded 17 scholarships to local students pursuing careers in the health care industry.
Each year, a dedicated trustee board carefully selects recipients from a pool of both new applicants and previous awardees. This effort is a collaboration with the McPherson Hospital Board of Trustees and the McPherson Hospital Volunteers, ensuring that the legacy of George and Evaline Hess continues to make a lasting impact in McPherson.
Since 1980, the trust established by Evaline Hess has been instrumental in advancing health education, providing financial support to generations of students striving to achieve their goals in the healthcare field. The scholarships cater to three key categories: initial entry into healthcare, career advancement, and updates in technical training.
This year’s recipients are a testament to the Hess legacy, empowering the next wave of healthcare professionals.
