Estimate – McPherson Population Tops 14K, County Population Up Slightly

McPHERSON, Kan. — Based on estimates released earlier this month by the Kansas Division of Budget, McPherson’s population has passed the 14,000 mark. 

2024 data indicates that McPherson’s population has gone up 162 and now stands at 14.068. McPherson County as a whole gained 243 people bringing its population to 3,0334.

The report indicated Lindsborg added 24 people to bring their estimated population to 3.835. Population increases were also noted in Inman, Marquette, Moundridge and Windom while population counts dropped by one in Canton and three in Galva.

Salina’s population added 317 in the estimate and now stands at 46.109 with Saline County’s population up 498 to 53,098. Population increases were also seen in Dickinson, Harvey, Ottawa and Rice counties with declines in Ellsworth, Marion, Ottawa and Reno Counties with Hutchinson seeing a population drop of just over 100.
