Dream Grants: What MCCF is Looking For

SHARE NOW

McPHERSON COUNTY, Kan. — McPherson County Community Foundation has received several questions about the Foundation’s 25th anniversary Dream Grants, including eligibility, timelines and the types of projects we hope to support. Below is a brief overview.

  • Project Focus: Dream Grants are intended to support projects that make a meaningful, visible impact in McPherson County communities. Priority will be given to projects that bring people together, including public equipment, community events or public beautification efforts.
  • Eligibility: Projects may be fully funded by a Dream Grant or require additional funding to reach completion. All projects must create an immediate community impact and be completed by the end of 2026. Capital campaigns will not be considered for this opportunity. Applications are encouraged from nonprofit organizations and community groups.
  • Timeline: Applications are due by the end of the day Feb. 15. Proposals will be reviewed by Foundation staff and a grants committee, with final selections announced during community celebrations held from late February through March. For community groups, grant funds will be released to the nonprofit partners identified in the application.
  • Project Partners: Applicants must identify at least one project partner to encourage collaboration and clarify which organization will manage the grant funds. Organizations applying should include themselves and any additional partners involved.
