McPHERSON, Kan. — The City of McPherson Fire Department introduced the community to its new Division Chief of Community Risk Reduction, Chet Ranzau on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
In a post on social media, the fire department said, “DC Ranzau brings nearly three decades of valuable firefighting and emergency medical service experience to our Fire Department.”
Ranzau started his Fire Service career in 1997 with the Halstead Fire Department and then served the Arkansas City Fire Department for 23 years. There, he started as a Firefighter/Paramedic. For his last two years, he served as the Ark City Fire Marshal.
