A group of puppies abandoned in a Walmart parking lot in McPherson are now ready to find permanent homes.
Mama Shrimpy and her five puppies are available for adoption after being rescued in May when the week-old pups were found abandoned at the Walmart parking lot.
The canine family recovered at the McPherson Animal Shelter, with more than $1,100 donated to help cover their care.
Authorities have submitted an animal cruelty case to prosecutors.
