The Barton Community College volleyball program will offer a series of camps in late May, providing instruction opportunities for ages 10-18.
In addition to individual skills sessions, the Cougars will also host a multi-day team camp to conclude the week of instruction.
All camps will be held at the Kirkman Activity Center and Fleske Fieldhouse on Barton’s campus. Early registration is available through May 8, with participants receiving a free camp t-shirt. Barton volleyball also offers satellite camp opportunities through special arrangement, allowing instruction to be conducted at a requested location.
The individual skills camps will be split by age group across May 25-26. The 10-13 age division will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., while the 14-18 division will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The cost for each individual camp session is $75 per participant.
The team camp will follow on May 27-29, featuring daily sessions from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Team camp cost is $125 per player.

Under the guidance of first-year head coach Jim Cartisser and third-year assistant Sarah Simmons, the Cougars turned in a 31-7 season, highlighted by a third straight Jayhawk Conference title, a second consecutive Region 6/Plains District Championship, and the program’s 25th appearance at the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
Cartisser earned 2025 KJCCC and Region 6/Plains District Coach of the Year honors, while Stasa Stamenkovic, Mina Kaneko, and Aubrey Olander garnered NJCAA All-America recognition, marking the first time in the program’s 46-year history to produce three All-Americans in a single season. The trio became the program’s 32nd, 33rd, and 34th all-time honorees.
Stamenkovic added Second Team AVCA All-America honors along with KJCCC Freshman of the Year and First Team All-KJCCC/Region 6 recognition. Kaneko and Olander also earned First Team All-KJCCC/Region 6 accolades. Ori Briger, Caroliny Cristiny, and Indigo Pruitt rounded out the postseason honors as Second Team All-KJCCC/Region 6 selections.
