GREAT BEND, Kan. — The boil water advisory for the City of Great Bend’s public water supply system has been rescinded according to a statement posted this morning by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE).
KDHE issued the advisory due to a loss of pressure after an electrical outage in Great Bend. Samples collected by Great Bend crews indicated no evidence of bacteriological contamination. KDHE officials deemed all other conditions that placed the system at the risk of contamination resolved as well.
For questions or concerns, contact the water system at 620-793-4150 or call KDHE at 785-296-5514. For more information visit https://www.kdhe.ks.gov/468/Disruption-in-Water-Service.
