Neosho County Community College is proud to announce the hiring of Poppy Goffin as the new Head Coach of the Panther Women’s Soccer program. The appointment was approved during the college’s Board of Trustees meeting and Goffin will officially begin her role this week.

Originally from England, Goffin brings both international and collegiate playing experience along with coaching experience at the junior college level. Most recently, she served as the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at Iowa Central Community College, where she played a key role in recruiting, practice planning, player development, and scouting.

During her time at Iowa Central, Goffin contributed to a successful season that saw the team finish 11–6 and ranked in the NJCAA Top 20, recording 11 clean sheets along the way. She worked extensively with defensive units and goalkeepers while also assisting with strength and conditioning programming, recruiting efforts, and game analysis.

Goffin’s background includes competing at both the junior college and NCAA Division II levels as a student-athlete. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with honors from Emmanuel University, where she was a four-year captain of the women’s soccer team and a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Her leadership on and off the field reflects her commitment to building strong team culture and developing student-athletes both academically and athletically.

In addition to her playing and coaching experience, Goffin holds a FA Level 1 Soccer Coaching Badge and brings an international recruiting perspective along with a strong focus on player development.
Neosho County Community College Athletic Director Dr. Riann Mullis expressed excitement about the future of the program under Goffin’s leadership.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Coach Goffin to the Panther family,” said Mullis. “She brings great energy, a strong background in player development, and valuable experience at the junior college level. Coach Goffin understands what it takes to build a competitive program while supporting student-athletes academically and personally. We believe she will take our women’s soccer program to the next level, and we look forward to seeing the impact she will have on our athletes and our campus community.”

The Panther Women’s Soccer program competes in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
