Quincy, IL – Neosho County came ready to finish the weekend with a statement, and the Panthers absolutely delivered. Behind a balanced, confident offensive attack and a monster team rebounding effort, Neosho powered past Olive-Harvey 83–65 on Saturday afternoon in Quincy.
The Panthers dominated early, dropping 22 in the opening quarter and never letting go of the lead. Even when Olive-Harvey made small runs, Neosho always answered — and then turned on the jets in the fourth with a 24-point burst to lock up the win.
Sophia Mireles was on fire from the jump, pouring in 15 points on an efficient 5-for-7 shooting, including 3-for-5 from deep, while adding 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Every time Neosho needed a bucket, she was there.
Bauke Graulus stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, perfect 2-for-2 from three, 2 rebounds, an assist, and a steal; steady, reliable, and locked-in both ways.
Ta’Neah Jones was a force with 9 rebounds and 6 points, finishing a perfect 2-for-2 from the field and 2-for-2 at the line. Her 4 offensive boards set the tone physically all game long.
Laynie Winfrey battled her way to 8 points, 2 assists, and 2 boards, while Kaozong Yang added 8 points off the bench with two big threes.
Desiree Williams chipped in 6 points, Chloe Parker added 5 with 6 rebounds and 3 steals, and Divine Brown fought through contact for 5 points and 3 boards.
Janae Davis continued her steady play with 7 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds, truly running the show.
Dagmara Kacprazak gave a strong spark with 4 points, and Maila Tashiro added a timely three.
Jaida Harris grabbed 4 rebounds, and Jessica Houston finished with 3 assists and a steal.
Neosho hammered the glass for 49 rebounds, hit 14 threes, and forced 26 turnovers, outworking Olive-Harvey in every hustle category. The Panthers’ depth showed again, with major scoring from the bench and 13 total steals.
The Panthers are now 9-6 and turn their attention to their final match-up before Christmas Break as they travel to Trenton, Missouri, on December 13 to take on North Central Missouri College.
After the holiday break, Neosho hits the road again, returning to action on January 5 in St. Louis, Missouri, as they look to carry this momentum into the new year.
