Allen’s sophomore Ella McCammon was named KJCCC Division 2 Softball Player of the Week after an impressive start in this season’s second week of play.
McCammon had an incredible performance at the plate against Barton, going six-for-seven across a doubleheader to record an .857 batting average for the week.
Ella scored five runs and saw two of her six hits go for extra bases, while adding five stolen bases in the leadoff spot for the Red Devils. Ella now sits at a .500 batting average.
McCammon and the Red Devils will return to action this weekend as they travel to Shawnee, KS to compete in the Midwest College Classic. The weekend will start off against Morton College on Feb. 27 at 12:30 p.m.
ACC will return home on Sunday March 8 to face off in a double header against Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa (11-3) with first pitch set for 1:00 p.m.
