CHANUTE, Kan. — A Chanute woman was killed and one other person injured in a two vehicle crash early Monday morning about 15 miles east of Chanute.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said an SUV driven by Teresa Phillips was northbound on K-39 /US 59 near Stark when she collided on the center line with a southbound pickup driven by Thaddeus Jetmore of Deerfield, Missouri.
Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene; Jetmore was taken to the KU Medical Center in Kansas City with reported serious injuries.
