Two road projects starting next week in Bourbon and Linn counties will cause traffic issues over the next several months.
In Linn County, a box culvert replacement is taking place on K-52 southwest of Mound City. This is located about a mile west of the K-7/52 south junction, and will require closing of that section of the road.
An official detour has been established following K-7 and K-31 during the project, being done by Reece Construction of Salina and expected to be complete by summer, conditions permitting.
In Bourbon County, a bridge over the Little Osage River north of Bronson is being replaced, which will close that road from Bronson north to the K-31 junction east of Kincaid.
This project is being done by Bridges Inc. of Newton as part of the IKE Transportation Program, and is expected to be completed by December.
